Research Analyst

Research Associates are responsible for gathering and analyzing information to support client consulting engagements. Research Associates participate in developing findings, conclusions and recommendations to address client issues. Key tasks include:

  • Gather market, customer, competitor, supplier, financial and other industry data
  • Identify, qualify, obtain and calibrate published market research
  • Interview customers, competitors, suppliers and industry participants as appropriate
  • Conduct analysis to address strategic, market, competitive, product and channel issues
  • Assist in developing findings, conclusions and recommendations to support consulting engagements

The Research Analyst position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics or similar field. Ability to travel extensively and work well with ECG professionals and clients is required.

Associate

Associates are responsible for gathering, analyzing and summarizing information for client consulting engagements. Associates participate in developing and presenting findings, conclusions and recommendations to address client issues. Key tasks include:

  • Lead and structure parts of consulting projects, with direction from Senior Associates and Principals
  • Gather market, customer, competitor, supplier, financial and other industry data
  • Identify, qualify, obtain and calibrate published market research
  • Interview customers, competitors, suppliers and industry participants as appropriate
  • Conduct analysis to address strategic, market, competitive, product and channel issues
  • Assist in developing findings, conclusions and recommendations

The Associate position requires an M.B.A. degree, Bachelors degree, preferably in an engineering discipline, and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience in marketing, strategy, R&D and technology commercialization or similar field. Ability to travel extensively and work well with ECG professionals and clients is required.

Senior Associate

Senior Associates are responsible for gathering, analyzing and summarizing information for client consulting engagements and for providing direction to Associates and Research Analysts. Senior Associates actively participate in developing and presenting findings, conclusions and recommendations to address client issues. Key tasks include:

  • Lead and structure parts of consulting projects, with direction from Principals and company officers, to develop high quality and realistic client recommendations
  • Gather market, customer, competitor, supplier, financial and other industry data
  • Identify, qualify, obtain and calibrate published market research
  • Interview client management, customers, competitors, suppliers and industry participants as appropriate
  • Conduct analysis to address strategic, market, competitive, product and channel issues
  • Develop findings, conclusions and recommendations
  • Present project results to clients

The Senior Associate position requires an M.B.A. degree, Bachelors degree, preferably in an engineering discipline, and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related work experience in marketing, strategy, R&D and technology commercialization or similar field. Ability to travel extensively and work well with ECG professionals and clients is required.

Principal

Principals are responsible for managing client consulting engagements, presenting client recommendations and participating with company officers in business development activities. Key tasks include:

  • Develop clients, prepare proposals to work with client companies, and support officers business development activities
  • Lead and structure consulting projects with direction from company officers
  • Manage or co-manage client engagements and provide direction for Associates and Analysts
  • Analyze information and develop findings, conclusions and recommendations to address client business issues and support client consulting engagements
  • Interview client management, customers, competitors, suppliers and industry participants as appropriate
  • Develop findings, conclusions and recommendations
  • Present project results to clients

The Principal position requires an M.B.A. degree, Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an engineering discipline, and management experience in marketing, strategy, R&D and technology commercialization or similar fields. Ability to travel extensively and work well with ECG professionals and clients is required.
