Mr. Mark A. Mead is a Senior Associate at ECG specializing in strategic planning, technology commercialization and assessing market and business opportunities for products and services in the energy, advanced materials, electronics, industrial and related marketplaces. Mr. Mead has held project, sales and general management positions at United Technologies/Otis Elevator, Ten Eyck Group and Chubb Group.

At ECG, Mark has worked on market, customer & competitive assessments, market forecasting, technology commercialization, technology deployment, strategic planning and business development engagements. He has project experience with clients in the oil & gas, power generation, utility, renewable energy, nanotechnology, plastics, electronics manufacturing services, and industrial manufacturing industries. Mr Mead’s oil & gas project experience includes pipeline services, gas turbines, compressors and subsea equipment. His power generation experience includes projects in turbine parts & service and utility maintenance practices. His renewable energy experience includes projects in solar, biofuels and other alternative energy technologies. His advanced materials experience includes projects in nanotechnology, thermoplastics & thermosets and thin-film materials. His industrial experience includes projects in electrical controls and control systems.

Prior to joining ECG, Mr. Mead was with United Technologies/Otis Elevator division as a customer account manager responsible for new equipment sales and services. He developed territory rollout strategies for new technologies & products and conducted customer needs & buying behavior assessments to develop product and pricing strategies. While at the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, Mr. Mead held various commercial underwriting and sales manager positions. He was responsible for customer relationship management, marketing, sales, profit and loss results for multiple commercial insurance products. Mark created a key account retention strategy for retaining customers and an office-wide prospect system to effectively identify new clients.

Mr. Mead has a B.S. degree in Industrial Management from Clarkson University and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mark is certified as a Level II Alpine Ski Instructor by the Professional Ski Instructors of American. He is active in a variety of local economic development and community organizations.
